The SGS PRO 16753 is a taper-style abrasive bur with a ball nose cone head geometry, designed for aggressive material removal and contouring in metalworking and fabrication applications. Built with an uncoated tungsten carbide head and a double cut tooth pattern, this bur delivers fast stock removal with reasonable surface finish across a wide range of ferrous and non-ferrous metals. The 1/4 inch shank fits standard die grinder collets, and the 7 inch overall length provides reach into recesses and deep cavities. Maximum speed is rated at 55000 RPM. Licensed tradespeople and machinists working in tool and die, maintenance, and fabrication shops are the primary users of this tool.
This abrasive bur is suited for deburring, porting, shaping, and surface blending in both production and maintenance environments. The double cut flute configuration handles steel, hardened steel, stainless steel, cast iron, titanium, nickel, copper, and copper alloys. The 14-degree included angle of the taper profile makes it well suited for chamfering, countersinking, and working inside angled passages. It is typically used in handheld die grinders and rotary tools in automotive, aerospace, plumbing, HVAC, and general metal fabrication settings.
Designed for use in standard 1/4 inch collet die grinders and rotary tools. Compatible material applications include steel, hardened steel, stainless steel, cast iron, titanium, nickel, copper, and copper alloys per manufacturer specification SL-1L6.
Installation is performed by qualified machinists, fabricators, or trade professionals using a die grinder with a 1/4 inch collet. Ensure the tool is fully de-energized and unplugged before inserting or removing the bur from the collet. Do not exceed the 55000 RPM maximum rated speed. Wear appropriate eye protection and follow applicable shop safety procedures when operating rotary cutting tools.
