The SGS PRO 16550 is a single-cut tungsten carbide rotary bur in the SF-1L6 tree-with-radius (ball nose tree) profile. Designed for aggressive material removal and finishing in die grinders and rotary tools, it features a 1/4-inch shank diameter and a 1/4-inch cutting diameter with a 5/8-inch length of cut. The uncoated tungsten carbide head delivers consistent cutting performance across a wide range of ferrous and non-ferrous metals. At up to 55,000 RPM maximum speed, it is suited for high-speed material removal in fabrication, welding cleanup, and tool-and-die work performed by machinists, welders, and metalworkers.

This bur is intended for use on steel, hardened steel, stainless steel, cast iron, titanium, cermet, nickel, copper, and copper alloys. The SF-1L6 ball nose tree shape makes it well suited for contouring curved surfaces, blending radii, and accessing recessed or contoured areas in molds, dies, castings, and fabricated assemblies. At 6 inches overall length, it provides extended reach into deep cavities where standard-length burs cannot access.
