The SGS PRO 14975 is a tungsten carbide abrasive bur ground to the SK-5 cone profile with a 90-degree included angle. The cutting head measures 1/2 inch in diameter with a 1/4-inch length of cut, mounted on a 1/4-inch shank for use in standard die grinders and rotary tools. Overall length is 2.125 inches. The single-cut tooth style removes material efficiently while producing a relatively smooth finish on ferrous and non-ferrous workpieces. The uncoated tungsten carbide head is rated for operation up to 28,000 RPM. This bur is suited for deburring, shaping, and grinding tasks in fabrication, toolroom, and maintenance environments.
The SGS PRO 14975 is designed for use on a broad range of materials including steel, hardened steel, stainless steel, cast iron, titanium, cermet, nickel, copper, and copper alloys. The cone geometry with a 90-degree included angle makes it well suited for countersinking, chamfering, deburring drilled holes, and cleaning up weld joints in tight or angled locations. It is commonly used by machinists, pipefitters, welders, and maintenance technicians working in fabrication shops, job sites, and industrial facilities.
Fits any die grinder or rotary tool equipped with a standard 1/4-inch collet. Appropriate for use on steel, hardened steel, stainless steel, cast iron, titanium, cermet, nickel, copper, and copper alloys as stated by the manufacturer.
Always secure the bur in a properly sized 1/4-inch collet and torque the collet nut according to the tool manufacturer's specifications before operation. Confirm the tool's rated RPM meets or exceeds the bur's 28,000 RPM rating before running at full speed. Wear ANSI-rated eye protection and appropriate hand protection during use, as carbide burs generate chips and heat. Inspect the shank and cutting head for cracks or damage before each use and replace if any defects are found.
