The SGS PRO 14503 is a tungsten carbide abrasive bur with a flame head shape, designed for material removal, deburring, and shaping in metal fabrication and machining applications. Built to industry specification SH-7, this bur features a double cut tooth style that delivers fast stock removal while producing a smoother finish than single cut designs. It runs a 1/4-inch shank diameter, a 3/4-inch cutting diameter, and a maximum speed rating of 19,000 RPM. Machinists, tool and die workers, and metal fabricators install this bur in die grinders and rotary tools for precision work on ferrous and non-ferrous metals.
This bur is suited for both production and maintenance operations across industrial and shop environments. Its flame geometry makes it effective for contoured surfaces, cavities, and hard-to-reach areas that flat or cylindrical burs cannot address. The uncoated tungsten carbide head is rated for use on steel, hardened steel, stainless steel, cast iron, titanium, nickel, copper, and copper alloys, covering a broad range of common workshop and fabrication materials.
Designed for use with die grinders and rotary tools accepting a 1/4-inch shank collet. Rated for steel, hardened steel, stainless steel, cast iron, titanium, nickel, copper, and copper alloys per the manufacturer specification.
Install in a die grinder or rotary tool with a compatible 1/4-inch collet. Disconnect and de-energize the tool before changing burs. Do not exceed the 19,000 RPM maximum speed rating. Always wear appropriate eye protection and follow shop safety practices when operating rotary cutting tools.
