The SGS PRO 13853 is a tungsten carbide abrasive bur with a tree-with-pointed-end head shape, designed for aggressive material removal in tight or contoured workspaces. It features a double-cut tooth style, which produces a finer finish and faster stock removal compared to single-cut patterns. The cutting diameter measures 0.25 inches with a length of cut of 0.625 inches, and the overall length is 2 inches. The 0.25-inch shank fits standard die grinders and rotary tools. Rated to 55,000 RPM, this bur is built for high-speed metal removal in demanding trade and fabrication environments.
This bur is suited for use on a broad range of ferrous and non-ferrous metals including steel, hardened steel, stainless steel, cast iron, titanium, nickel, copper, and copper alloys. It is a practical tool for machinists, pipefitters, welders, and maintenance technicians who need to deburr, shape, or blend material in areas where larger tooling cannot reach. The pointed-tip tree profile allows access to recessed features, weld joints, and angled surfaces.
Designed for use with standard 1/4-inch collet die grinders and rotary tools. Suitable for metal fabrication, welding prep, and deburring applications on the listed material types.
Secure the 0.25-inch shank fully into the collet of the die grinder before operation. Verify the tool is rated to handle the maximum RPM of this bur before use. Wear appropriate eye and face protection, and secure the workpiece before starting. Do not exceed the rated 55,000 RPM.
