The SGS PRO 12985 is a double cut solid carbide rotary bur with an oval head geometry conforming to the SE-3 industry specification. It is designed for material removal, deburring, shaping, and surface finishing on metals, hard plastics, and composite materials. The cutting head measures 3/8 inch in diameter with a 5/8 inch length of cut, and mounts via a 1/4 inch shank. A titanium nitride (TiN) coating is applied to the head to extend cutting life and reduce heat buildup during continuous use. This bur is installed in die grinders, flex-shaft tools, and rotary tool handpieces used by machinists, fabricators, and tool-and-die technicians.

The SE-3 oval profile is suited for blending contoured surfaces, enlarging holes, and reaching into confined cavities where flat or cylindrical tools cannot conform to the workpiece geometry.
