The SGS PRO 12200 is a single-cut solid carbide abrasive bur with a cylinder-with-radius-end head geometry, designed for material removal, shaping, and deburring in metalworking and fabrication applications. The 3/4-inch cutting diameter and 3/4-inch length of cut make it well suited for moderate stock removal in recesses, contours, and radial profiles. At an overall length of 2.5 inches and a 1/4-inch shank diameter, it fits standard die grinders, rotary tools, and flex-shaft handpieces used daily in trade and shop environments. The uncoated solid carbide construction delivers consistent cutting performance across ferrous and non-ferrous metals.
This bur is used in metalworking shops, fabrication facilities, HVAC sheet metal work, pipefitting, and general maintenance where precise material removal or edge blending is required. The SC-16 industry specification identifies the cylinder-with-radius-end form, which is commonly applied when a technician needs to blend a sharp internal corner or profile a curved surface. Single-cut tooth style produces a smoother finish and generates longer chips, making it a practical choice when surface quality matters as much as removal rate.
Designed to fit any die grinder, rotary tool, or flex-shaft machine accepting a 1/4-inch round shank. Conforms to the SC-16 industry specification for cylinder-with-radius-end carbide burs.
Installation is performed by machinists, fabricators, pipefitters, and maintenance technicians using standard die grinders or rotary tools. Ensure the tool is fully powered off and depressurized before inserting or removing the bur from the collet. Tighten the collet securely to the tool manufacturer's specification to prevent slippage during operation. Always wear appropriate eye protection and follow applicable shop safety guidelines when operating rotary abrasive tooling.
