The SGS PRO 11753 is a double-cut tungsten carbide abrasive bur in the SC-2 ball nose cylinder (cylinder with radius) configuration. It is designed for aggressive material removal and finishing work in metalworking, fabrication, and tool-and-die applications. With a cutting diameter of 0.3125 inches, a 3/4-inch length of cut, and a 2.5-inch overall length, it fits standard 1/4-inch shank die grinders and rotary tools. The double-cut flute pattern produces faster stock removal with less operator fatigue compared to single-cut geometry. Maximum rated speed is 45,000 RPM. Machinists, welders, and fabricators install this bur for deburring, porting, and contouring work on ferrous and non-ferrous metals.
This bur is suited for both shop and field metalworking tasks where a die grinder or high-speed rotary tool is used. Common applications include weld blending, casting cleanup, port and cavity work, and edge deburring on structural components. The uncoated tungsten carbide head handles a broad range of materials including steel, hardened steel, stainless steel, cast iron, titanium, nickel, copper, and copper alloys. It is appropriate for use in manufacturing, maintenance and repair, and custom fabrication environments at the bench or in the field.
Designed to fit any die grinder or rotary tool with a standard 1/4-inch collet. Compatible with steel, hardened steel, stainless steel, cast iron, titanium, nickel, copper, and copper alloys per the manufacturer material application rating.
Installation is performed by machinists, fabricators, or maintenance technicians using a die grinder or rotary tool with a 1/4-inch collet. Ensure the tool is disconnected from the power source and the collet nut is fully tightened before operation. Always confirm the tool spindle speed does not exceed the 45,000 RPM maximum rating for this bur. Wear appropriate eye protection and follow applicable shop safety procedures when operating rotary cutting tools.
