The SGS PRO 10289 is a tungsten carbide abrasive bur with a tree-with-pointed-end head geometry, manufactured to SG-3 DDC industry specification. It features an Omega Cut tooth style, delivering aggressive material removal with reduced chatter on hard metals. The 3/8 inch cutting diameter and 2.5 inch overall length make it well suited for die grinder work in tight or contoured areas. With a 1/4 inch shank, it mounts directly into standard collet-style rotary tools and die grinders. Rated to 37,500 RPM, it handles high-speed finishing and deburring on a broad range of metals.
This bur is designed for deburring, porting, shaping, and material removal on ferrous and non-ferrous metals including steel, stainless steel, cast iron, titanium, nickel, copper, and copper alloys. It is commonly used by machinists, tool and die workers, welders, and fabricators in production shops, maintenance environments, and field repair applications where precise contouring or edge work is required.
Designed for use with standard die grinders and rotary tools accepting a 1/4 inch shank collet. Suitable for stock removal and finishing on steel, stainless steel, cast iron, titanium, nickel, copper, and copper alloys.
Install and remove burs only with the tool fully powered down and air supply disconnected or power source de-energized. Secure the shank fully in the collet and tighten to the tool manufacturer torque specification before operation. Always verify the tool RPM rating meets or exceeds 37,500 RPM before use. Wear appropriate PPE including eye protection and gloves when operating rotary burring tools.
