The SGS 93334 is a solid carbide square end mill engineered for precision milling in demanding metalworking and machining applications. With a 0.125-inch cutting diameter and a 1-inch length of cut, this tool is designed for slots, pockets, and profiling passes where accuracy and edge integrity matter. The 4-flute spiral geometry at a 30-degree helix angle promotes efficient chip evacuation and a smooth surface finish. The DLC (diamond-like carbon) coating reduces friction and extends tool life in abrasive materials. The micrograin carbide substrate adds toughness and wear resistance, making this end mill well-suited for high-speed finishing and light roughing in ferrous and non-ferrous materials.
This end mill fits standard CNC machining centers and manual mills using a 0.125-inch straight cylindrical shank with an h6 tolerance for precise tool holder fitment. The extra-long 3-inch overall length provides extended reach into deep cavities or tall workpiece features where a standard-length tool would not clear. The variable index design helps reduce chatter and harmonic vibration during cuts, improving finish quality in difficult setups. It is suited for job shops, tool-and-die operations, aerospace component machining, and precision mold work where tight tolerances and controlled depths of cut are required.
Designed for use in CNC machining centers and conventional mills accepting a 0.125-inch straight cylindrical shank. Part of the SGS Series 1EL-AD extra-long end mill family.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC setup technician. Ensure the spindle is fully stopped and the machine is in an e-stop or powered-down state before changing tooling. Seat the shank fully into the tool holder to the minimum clamping depth recommended by the holder manufacturer — shallow engagement with a small-diameter shank increases deflection risk. Verify runout with a dial indicator after clamping before beginning a cut.
