The SGS 91237 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for high-efficiency material removal in non-ferrous metal applications. It features a 3/8-inch mill diameter, a 9/16-inch length of cut, and a 0.015-inch corner radius that reduces stress concentrations at the cutting edge and extends tool life in demanding milling operations. The tool carries a TiB2 (Ti-NAMITE-B) coating, which is well-suited for aluminum, copper, brass, and similar non-ferrous workpiece materials. With a 45-degree high helix angle and coarse pitch, it promotes aggressive chip evacuation and smooth cutting action. This is a single-end, right-hand cutting, right-hand flute end mill built for use in CNC machining centers and manual mills with standard end mill toolholders.
The SGS 91237 is intended for roughing operations on non-ferrous metals in short-length, high-clearance setups. The Series 45C Ski-Carb geometry and micrograin carbide substrate make it a strong choice for aerospace, automotive, and general metalworking shops running aluminum or other non-ferrous alloys. It accepts standard straight-cylindrical end mill toolholders with a 3/8-inch bore. The 1-1/8-inch reach length and 2-1/2-inch overall length suit close-tolerance setups where rigidity and runout control are critical. Machinists and CNC operators working in production or job-shop environments are the primary users of this tool.
Designed for use with standard end mill toolholders accepting a 3/8-inch straight-cylindrical shank. Primary workpiece material is non-ferrous metal (material code N), consistent with aluminum, brass, copper, and similar alloys.
Installation is performed by qualified machinists or CNC operators. Secure the shank fully into the toolholder to the recommended engagement depth and verify runout before cutting. Ensure the spindle and machine are at a complete stop before loading or unloading the tool. Do not exceed the toolholder manufacturer's torque specification for the retention mechanism, and inspect the cutting edges for chips or wear before each use.
