The SGS 77325 is a solid carbide square end mill engineered for demanding material removal in professional machining environments. This Series 77 tool features a 1-inch mill diameter, 4-inch length of cut, and 7-inch overall length, making it well suited for deep-reach profiling and slotting operations. Seven spiral flutes with a variable helix angle of 37 degrees reduce harmonic vibration and chatter, improving surface finish and tool life. A TiN (titanium nitride) coating adds surface hardness and lubricity at the cutting edge. Micrograin carbide substrate provides wear resistance across a broad range of work materials. The straight-cylindrical shank with h6 tolerance ensures consistent runout in standard end mill holders.
The SGS 77325 is intended for use in CNC machining centers and manual mills where extended reach is needed without sacrificing rigidity. It is rated for work materials across ISO codes H, K, M, N, P, and S, covering hardened steels, cast irons, stainless steels, non-ferrous metals, carbon steels, and heat-resistant superalloys. The extra-long length classification makes it a practical choice when standard-length tools cannot reach the feature being cut. Right-hand cut and right-hand flute geometry follow conventional toolpath programming without modification. This end mill is a single-end, non-centercutting design, so plunge entry into solid material is not recommended.
Designed as a direct-fit replacement for applications requiring a 1-inch diameter, 1-inch straight-cylindrical shank solid carbide square end mill with h6 shank tolerance. Compatible with standard end mill holders, collet chucks, and hydraulic holders accepting 1-inch shank diameters.
Installation is performed by a machinist or toolroom technician. Before tool changes, ensure the spindle is fully stopped and the machine is in a safe, locked-out state per shop safety procedures. Clean the tool holder bore and shank contact surfaces before seating to prevent runout errors. Because this is a non-centercutting end mill, do not program direct plunge moves into solid stock — use a pre-drilled hole, helical entry, or ramp entry to begin cuts.
