The SGS 77237 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill engineered for high-performance finishing in ferrous and difficult-to-machine materials. Designed as a single-end, right-hand cutting tool, it features 7 helical flutes with a close pitch and variable index geometry that reduces chatter and improves surface finish at aggressive feed rates. The 0.03-inch corner radius protects the cutting edge and extends tool life in hard material applications. With a 5/8-inch mill diameter, 2-1/2-inch length of cut, and 4-1/2-inch overall length, the 77237 fits standard end mill holders used in CNC machining centers and manual mills alike. A TiN coating aids in heat resistance and wear performance during finishing passes.

Installation Notes

Installation and tool changes should be performed by a qualified machinist with the spindle at a complete stop and the machine in a locked-out, de-energized state. Secure the 5/8-inch straight-cylindrical shank in a properly sized end mill holder torqued to the holder manufacturer's specification. Verify runout with a dial indicator before beginning cuts, as excessive runout accelerates wear on a 7-flute finishing tool. This tool is not centercutting and should not be used for direct plunge entry.
