The SGS 77193 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for high-performance finishing operations in ferrous and hard materials. It features a 1/2 inch diameter, a 1-1/2 inch length of cut, a 0.0600 inch corner radius, and 7 flutes arranged in a close-pitch, variable-index configuration. The TM coating extends tool life in demanding applications involving steel, stainless steel, cast iron, superalloys, and titanium. The right-hand spiral flute geometry and 37-degree helix angle promote efficient chip evacuation and surface finish quality. This end mill is intended for use by machinists and toolroom professionals working on CNC milling centers and manual mills.
This tool is suited for finishing passes on steel, stainless steel, cast iron, superalloys, titanium, and hard materials. The corner radius geometry reduces stress concentration at the cutting edge, making it appropriate for profiling, slotting, and contouring where sharp corner breakage is a concern. The single-end, straight-cylindrical shank is compatible with standard end mill toolholders used in precision machining environments. The Series 77C designation identifies it within the SGS high-helix corner radius family.
Designed for use with standard end mill toolholders. Primary workpiece materials include steel, stainless steel, cast iron, superalloys, and titanium; secondary application covers hard materials.
Installation and tool changes should be performed by a qualified machinist with the spindle fully stopped and the machine in a safe, locked-out state. Secure the straight-cylindrical shank in a compatible end mill toolholder to the holder manufacturer's specified runout requirements. Inspect the corner radius and cutting edges for chips or coating damage before mounting. Refer to the machine tool manufacturer's guidelines and applicable shop safety procedures when setting feeds, speeds, and depth of cut.
