The SGS 77107 is a 7-flute, solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for high-performance finishing in demanding metalworking applications. It carries a 1/4 inch mill diameter, a 5/8 inch length of cut, and a 0.0150 inch corner radius. The TM coating enhances wear resistance and thermal stability, making this tool well suited for cutting steel, stainless steel, cast iron, superalloys, and titanium. Built on a micrograin carbide substrate with a close pitch, right-hand cutting geometry, and variable index, the 77107 delivers precise, stable material removal in finishing passes where surface finish and edge integrity are critical.
This end mill is intended for use in CNC machining centers and manual mills where tight tolerances and fine surface finishes are required on ferrous and high-hardness workpieces. Its 37-degree helix, chipbreaker geometry, and spiral flute design make it appropriate for finishing passes on steel, stainless steel, cast iron, and superalloys including titanium. The single-end, straight-cylindrical shank seats in standard end mill toolholders. It is used in job shops, production machining, aerospace, and industrial fabrication environments where tool life and finish quality on difficult materials are priorities.
Designed for use with standard end mill toolholders. Compatible with CNC and manual milling machines accepting a 1/4 inch straight-cylindrical shank. Primary workpiece materials are steel, stainless steel, cast iron, superalloys, and titanium; secondary application is hard materials.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist following the toolholder manufacturer's clamping specifications. Ensure the spindle is fully stopped and the machine is powered down before changing tooling. Seat the shank fully into the toolholder collet or set-screw holder to the recommended engagement depth before tightening. This tool is not center-cutting and should not be used for plunge operations.
