The SGS 74113 is a single-flute countersink designed for creating clean, chamfered seat profiles in a wide range of materials. Built from alloy steel with a bright uncoated finish, this tool features an 82-degree included angle and a 0.5-inch head diameter, making it well suited for standard flat-head fastener seating applications. The straight cylindrical shank measures 0.25 inches in diameter, and the tool has an overall length of 2.875 inches. Right-hand cutting geometry provides predictable chip flow and smooth entry. Installation is handled by licensed machinists, tool and die technicians, and skilled trades workers performing precision drilling and finishing operations.
The SGS 74113 is appropriate for use on cast iron, composite materials, high-temperature alloys, non-ferrous metals, plastics, stainless steel, carbon steel, and titanium. Its single-flute design reduces chatter on softer substrates while maintaining cutting efficiency on harder materials. This countersink fits standard drill press and CNC machining center setups, as well as handheld drill applications where a straight cylindrical shank holder is used. It is sold individually and is suited to both production and repair environments requiring consistent countersink geometry.
Rated for use on cast iron, composite, high-temperature alloy, non-ferrous metal, plastic, stainless steel, steel, and titanium. Compatible with standard straight cylindrical shank holders and drill chucks accepting a 0.25-inch shank.
This countersink is installed and operated by machinists or skilled trades professionals using a drill press, CNC machine, or handheld power drill. Secure the shank fully in the chuck or collet before operation and confirm workpiece is clamped. Use appropriate cutting fluid when working hardened or stainless materials to extend tool life. Do not exceed the recommended RPM range for the material being cut.
