The SGS 66411 is a solid carbide screw machine length drill bit designed for high-performance drilling across a wide range of materials. Built to DIN 6537 standards, it features a 135-degree split point with web thinning for reduced thrust and fast, accurate entry. The Ti-NAMITE-X coating improves surface hardness and wear resistance, extending tool life in demanding production environments. At 4.10 mm in diameter with an overall length of 2.5984 inches (66 mm), it fits standard machining centers, CNC drilling setups, and manual drill presses. Coolant-through capability supports chip evacuation in deep-hole applications. This bit is specified by machinists, tool-and-die shops, and production drilling operations requiring consistent tolerance control.
The SGS 66411 is suited for universal workpiece materials including steel, stainless, aluminum, cast iron, and non-ferrous alloys. Its screw machine length geometry keeps the tool rigid and reduces deflection in short-reach drilling operations — a common requirement on lathes, turret setups, and machining centers where stub-length rigidity matters. The 2-flute spiral configuration and 3xD flute-to-diameter ratio handle chip clearance efficiently across both light and heavy feed rates. The straight-cylindrical shank at 6 mm (0.2300 inches) seats cleanly in standard drill chucks and collet holders.
Designed as a high-performance replacement for screw machine length drill bits in the 0.1500 to 0.2000 inch (3.50 to 5.00 mm) diameter range. Fits standard 6 mm straight-cylindrical shank chucks and collet systems. Series 142P.
Installation and use of this drill bit should be performed by qualified machinists familiar with tooling speeds, feeds, and CNC or manual drilling equipment. Ensure the machine spindle and chuck or collet holder are fully stopped and de-energized before inserting or removing the bit. Verify shank seating and runout before beginning a cut. Follow the tool manufacturer and machine OEM guidelines for appropriate cutting speeds, feed rates, and coolant pressure when using the coolant-through feature.
