The SGS 63203 is a solid carbide screw machine length drill bit designed for high-performance drilling in demanding materials. Built to Series 135M specifications, it features a 145-degree notched point angle and an AlTiN (Ti-NAMITE-A) coating that provides heat resistance and extended tool life in abrasive cutting conditions. The 15.50 mm (0.6102 inch) diameter, right-hand cut geometry and web-thinned tapered web reduce thrust and improve chip evacuation. This bit is installed by machinists and tooling technicians working on CNC machining centers, drill presses, and manual mills where precision hole tolerances and tool longevity are priorities.
The SGS 63203 is suited for drilling alloy steels and titanium, materials that demand a rigid, heat-resistant tool. The screw machine length format provides a shorter, stiffer profile compared to jobber-length bits, reducing deflection in close-tolerance applications. With a 3xD flute-to-diameter ratio and a maximum drilling depth of 45.00 mm, it fits production and job-shop environments where repeatable hole quality in tough workpiece materials is required. The straight shank and 16.00 mm shank diameter allow direct mounting in standard chucks and collet holders.
