Ground to a 118-degree faceted point with web thinning for reduced thrust at entry, this bit cuts right-hand with a regular spiral flute pattern. The 7/16 inch (0.4375 inch) diameter is held to a tight tolerance of -0.0005 to 0.0000 inches, making it suitable for close-tolerance hole work. At 4.5 inches overall length with a 2.875-inch flute and a straight-cylindrical shank, it fits standard drill chucks and CNC tool holders. Manufactured from micrograin solid carbide in Series 101, it meets DIN 338 standards. Machinists, tool-and-die workers, and CNC operators are the primary users.
