The SGS 48895 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for precision material removal in CNC and manual milling operations. It features a 0.3150-inch diameter cutting face, a 0.4724-inch length of cut, and a 4-flute spiral geometry with a 30-degree helix angle. The cutting edges are coated with Titanium Nitride (TiN) to extend tool life and reduce built-up edge. Manufactured from micrograin carbide stock, the 48895 holds tight tolerances and is centercutting, allowing both plunge and peripheral cuts. This is a double-end, right-hand cut tool with a straight-cylindrical shank and stub-length profile, suited for high-accuracy work in confined setups.

The SGS 48895 is suited for milling a broad range of workpiece materials, including hardened steels, cast irons, stainless steels, non-ferrous metals, high-temp alloys, and titanium-group materials, corresponding to material codes H, K, M, N, P, and S.
