The SGS 44851 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for high-performance material removal in non-ferrous metal applications. It features an 8 mm mill diameter, a 32 mm length of cut, and a 1 mm corner radius (0.0394 inches), giving it the blend of edge strength and surface finish control that roughing operations on aluminum, brass, and similar materials demand. The 3-flute, single-end geometry pairs with a high-helix, helical flute design and a TiB2 (Ti-NAMITE-B) coating to reduce built-up edge and extend tool life. Licensed machinists and CNC operators working in job shops or production environments are the primary users.

The SGS 44851 is intended for roughing operations on non-ferrous metals, including aluminum alloys, copper, and brass. Its coarse pitch and high helix angle promote efficient chip evacuation during aggressive cuts, making it well suited for high-speed machining centers and manual mills where chip packing in soft, gummy materials is a concern. The straight-cylindrical shank mounts directly into standard end mill holders. Installation Notes

Installation is performed by qualified CNC machinists or toolroom operators. Secure the straight-cylindrical shank fully into a clean, undamaged end mill holder and torque the retention mechanism to the holder manufacturer's specification before spindle engagement. Inspect the TiB2 coating and cutting edges for chips or cracks before mounting. Do not use this tool on ferrous materials, as it is rated for non-ferrous applications only.
