The SGS 44732 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for high-efficiency material removal in non-ferrous metal applications. Part of the SGS Series 43MR, it features a 6 mm cutting diameter, a 13 mm length of cut, and a 1.50 mm (0.0591 inch) corner radius that reduces stress concentration at the cutting edge and extends tool life. The single-end, three-flute design with a high helix angle promotes chip evacuation and smooth cutting action. A TiB2 (Ti-NAMITE-B) coating provides a hard, low-friction surface layer suited for aluminum and other non-ferrous materials. This tool is intended for use by machinists and CNC operators running end mill holders in milling operations.
The SGS 44732 is optimized for roughing operations in non-ferrous metals, including aluminum alloys and similar materials. Its coarse pitch, right-hand cutting and flute direction, and helical flute geometry make it well suited for CNC milling centers where chip clearance and tool rigidity are priorities. The straight cylindrical shank is compatible with standard end mill holders. With a 57 mm overall length and 6 mm shank diameter, this tool fits a wide range of vertical and horizontal milling setups used in production and job-shop environments.
Designed for use with standard end mill holders. Primary workpiece material is non-ferrous metal (material code N). Part of the SGS Series 43MR product line.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC operator. Secure the shank fully in the end mill holder to the recommended gauge-line depth before running; never leave an insufficient engagement length in the holder. Verify spindle speed, feed rate, and depth of cut against the applicable SGS Series 43MR speeds-and-feeds data for the specific workpiece material before cutting. Inspect the cutting edges and coating condition before each use and replace the tool at the first sign of chipping or excessive wear.
