The SGS 43475 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for high-performance material removal in demanding machining applications. Featuring a 6 mm mill diameter, 18 mm length of cut, and a 2 mm corner radius, it is built for roughing operations where tool life and edge integrity are critical. The AlTiN coating - SGS proprietary Ti-NAMITE-A designation - provides thermal resistance and wear protection at elevated cutting speeds. Variable helix and variable index geometry reduce harmonic vibration and chatter during aggressive cuts. Licensed machinists and CNC programmers specify this tool for production environments requiring consistent performance across difficult workpiece materials.
The SGS 43475 is suited for milling steel, stainless steel, cast iron, superalloys, and titanium as primary workpiece materials, with secondary capability in hard materials. The long-length configuration - 57 mm overall length with a 6 mm straight cylindrical shank - provides extended reach for deeper pockets and multi-axis setups. This tool is intended for use with standard end mill holders in CNC machining centers operating in right-hand cutting direction with right-hand flute orientation. It is a single-end, non-centercutting tool, making it appropriate for peripheral and side milling rather than plunge operations.
Designed for use with standard end mill holders. Compatible with primary workpiece materials including steel, stainless steel, cast iron, superalloys, and titanium; secondary application in hard materials. Not centercutting - not intended for direct plunge milling.
Installation and operation should be performed by qualified machinists familiar with CNC tooling standards. Ensure the end mill holder is clean and properly torqued before operation, and verify shank engagement depth meets holder manufacturer requirements. Confirm spindle direction is set to right-hand rotation before initiating a cut. Do not use this tool for plunge operations, as it is a non-centercutting design.
