Product Description

The SGS 42665 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for high-performance material removal in steel, stainless steel, cast iron, superalloys, and titanium. It features a 6 mm cutting diameter, a 0.50 mm (0.0197 inches) corner radius, and five flutes with a high-helix, right-hand cutting geometry. The tool is coated with AlTiN (Ti-NAMITE-A), providing thermal resistance and hardness suited to aggressive cutting conditions. At 75 mm overall length with a 6 mm straight-cylindrical shank, the 42665 fits standard end mill holders and is intended for use by machinists and tool-and-die professionals in production and job-shop environments.

This end mill is rated for both roughing and finishing operations on steel, stainless steel, cast iron, superalloys, titanium, and hard materials. The 6 mm length of cut (25 mm, or 0.8268 inches) and normal pitch classification make it well suited to slotting, profiling, and contouring passes where a corner radius is required to reduce stress concentration and improve surface finish. Installation Notes
