The SGS 40000 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for high-performance material removal in demanding machining environments. Built to a 4 mm diameter with a 14 mm length of cut and a 0.25 mm corner radius, this tool handles both roughing and finishing operations in a single setup. The 4-flute, right-hand spiral geometry paired with an AlTiN (Ti-NAMITE-A) coating provides heat resistance and extended tool life when cutting steel, stainless steel, cast iron, non-ferrous metals, superalloys, and titanium. The straight-cylindrical shank measures 4 mm in diameter with an h6 tolerance for consistent, repeatable clamping in standard end mill toolholders.

This end mill is suited for use in CNC machining centers and manual milling operations where a long-reach, small-diameter carbide tool is required. The 50 mm overall length supports reach into deeper features, while the single-end, centercutting geometry allows plunge and ramp entry. Installation Notes

Installation and tool changes should be performed by a qualified machinist with the spindle fully stopped and the machine in a safe, locked-out state. Seat the shank fully into the toolholder and torque the retention mechanism per the toolholder manufacturer specifications. Verify runout after installation before beginning a cut. Confirm that cutting parameters are appropriate for the workpiece material and machine spindle capability before engaging the tool.
