The SGS 39767 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for precision milling in a wide range of materials. It features a 0.625 inch cutting diameter, a 1.25 inch length of cut, and a 3.5 inch overall length. The three-flute geometry with a 30-degree helix angle promotes efficient chip evacuation and stable cutting performance. A titanium nitride (TiN) coating reduces friction and improves wear resistance at the cutting edge. Constructed from micrograin solid carbide, this end mill holds tight tolerances and handles demanding machining cycles. It is a single-end, center-cutting tool with a right-hand cut and right-hand spiral flute configuration, suitable for slotting, profiling, and peripheral milling operations.
The SGS 39767 Series 5 end mill is suited for machining a broad spectrum of workpiece materials, including cast irons, non-ferrous metals, stainless steels, heat-resistant superalloys, and structural steels, consistent with material codes H, K, M, N, P, and S. Its regular-length configuration fits standard milling setups in both CNC machining centers and manual knee mills. The straight cylindrical shank seats directly in collet chucks, end mill holders, and shrink-fit toolholders with a 0.625 inch bore. This tool is intended for use by machinists and tooling professionals in production and job-shop environments.
Compatible with workpiece materials designated under codes H, K, M, N, P, and S, covering cast irons, non-ferrous alloys, stainless steels, heat-resistant superalloys, and general steels. The 0.625 inch straight cylindrical shank fits standard collet chucks, end mill holders, and shrink-fit toolholders sized for 5/8 inch shanks.
This end mill is installed by a machinist or tooling technician into a milling machine or CNC machining center spindle. Ensure the machine is fully powered down and the spindle is locked before changing tooling. Seat the shank fully into the holder and confirm runout is within acceptable limits before beginning a cut. Follow shop-standard speeds and feeds for carbide tooling in the target workpiece material.
