The SGS 39323 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for precision material removal in metalworking and machining applications. It features a 3/16 inch (0.1875 inch) mill diameter with a 5/8 inch length of cut and a 2 inch overall length. Two right-hand spiral flutes with a 30-degree helix angle promote efficient chip evacuation and reduce heat buildup during cutting. The micrograin carbide substrate provides hardness and wear resistance, while the TiN coating extends tool life across a range of workpiece materials. This end mill is center-cutting and configured for right-hand cutting direction, making it suitable for plunge, slot, and peripheral milling operations. It is installed and operated by machinists and tool-and-die professionals.
The SGS 39323 is suited for milling operations on a broad range of materials including cast iron, non-ferrous metals, stainless steel, high-temperature alloys, and steel. Installation should be performed by qualified machinists following standard toolroom practices. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and locked out before loading or changing the end mill. Seat the shank fully and evenly in the collet or holder to the recommended engagement depth, and torque the retention mechanism per the holder manufacturer specifications. Verify runout with a dial indicator before beginning a cut to avoid premature tool wear or workpiece damage.
