The SGS 39321 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for precision milling operations in metalworking and machining applications. It features an 11/64 inch (0.1719 inch) cutting diameter, a 5/8 inch (0.625 inch) length of cut, and a 2-inch overall length. The 2-flute geometry paired with a 30-degree helix angle promotes efficient chip evacuation and smooth cutting performance. A TiN (titanium nitride) coating extends tool life and improves wear resistance during sustained cutting cycles. Micrograin carbide construction provides the hardness and rigidity needed for tight-tolerance work on a range of workpiece materials.
This end mill is suited for slotting, profiling, and peripheral milling in machine shop environments. The right-hand cutting and right-hand flute direction make it compatible with standard CNC machining centers and manual mills. It is centercutting, allowing plunge entry cuts. The straight cylindrical shank fits standard collets and end mill holders sized for 3/16 inch shanks. Applicable workpiece material codes include cast iron, non-ferrous metals, stainless steel, aluminum, steel, and high-temperature alloys (Material Codes H, K, M, N, P, S).
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or direct-use solid carbide end mill for standard 3/16 inch straight shank collets and end mill holders on CNC machining centers and manual milling machines. Compatible workpiece materials include cast iron, non-ferrous metals, stainless steel, aluminum, steel, and high-temperature alloys per SGS Series 3 specifications.
Installation is performed by qualified machinists or CNC setup technicians. Power down and lock out the machine spindle before installing or removing the tool. Seat the straight cylindrical shank fully into the collet or end mill holder and torque the drawbar or collet nut per the toolholder manufacturer specifications. Verify runout with a dial indicator before commencing a cut to avoid premature tool wear or workpiece damage.
