The SGS 39307 is a square end mill designed for precision material removal in machining applications. Built from micrograin solid carbide and coated with titanium nitride (TiN), it delivers consistent cutting performance and extended tool life in demanding shop environments. The cutter measures 1/16 inch (0.0625 inch) in diameter with a 3/16 inch (0.1875 inch) length of cut and a 1/8 inch (0.1250 inch) straight-cylindrical shank. The two-flute, right-hand spiral configuration with a 30-degree helix angle promotes efficient chip evacuation. Machinists and CNC operators use this tool for fine detail work, slotting, and contouring on a range of workpiece materials.
This end mill is suited for small-diameter milling operations in both manual and CNC machining centers. The regular-length geometry and single-end design make it appropriate for finishing passes, narrow slots, and detail profiling. It is rated for use across multiple workpiece material categories including cast iron, non-ferrous metals, stainless steel, steel, and heat-resistant alloys, corresponding to material codes H, K, M, N, P, and S. The centercutting capability allows direct plunge entry where required.
Designed for use in CNC machining centers and manual mills equipped with standard collet systems accepting a 1/8 inch straight-cylindrical shank. Rated for workpiece material categories H, K, M, N, P, and S as specified by the manufacturer.
Installation and tool changes should be performed by a qualified machinist with the spindle fully powered down and locked out. Use a calibrated collet or end mill holder sized for the 1/8 inch shank diameter and confirm runout with a dial indicator before cutting. Do not exceed the manufacturer-rated depth of cut for the 3/16 inch length of cut on this tool diameter. Refer to applicable shop safety standards and machine tool manuals for feed and speed guidance specific to the workpiece material.
