The SGS 39107 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for high-precision material removal in metalworking and machining applications. Built from micrograin carbide with a TiN coating, it delivers consistent cutting performance on a wide range of workpiece materials. The 1/16 inch cutting diameter and 4-flute geometry make it well suited for fine detail work, slotting, profiling, and contouring in tight tolerances. With a 30-degree helix angle and right-hand cutting and flute direction, this end mill promotes efficient chip evacuation and smooth surface finishes. It is single-end construction with a straight cylindrical shank, intended for use in CNC machining centers and manual mills by machinists and tool and die professionals.
This end mill is appropriate for precision work on a variety of materials including ferrous metals, cast iron, stainless steel, non-ferrous alloys, and high-temperature alloys, reflected in its primary workpiece material codes H, K, M, N, P, and S. Its regular length classification and compact overall length of 1-1/2 inches make it a practical choice for close-clearance setups and small-feature machining in both production and job-shop environments. The variable index geometry helps reduce harmonic vibration during cuts.
Designed for use in standard milling chucks, collet holders, and toolholders accepting a 1/8 inch straight shank. Compatible with workpiece material codes H, K, M, N, P, and S as specified by SGS Series 1 tooling classifications.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist following the machine tool manufacturer guidelines for toolholder torque and runout specifications. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and the machine is powered down or placed in a safe state before changing tooling. Verify shank seating depth and collet condition before operation. Do not exceed recommended speeds and feeds for the workpiece material and cutting diameter.
