The SGS 39007 is a single-end, square-profile carbide end mill designed for precision milling in a wide range of metalworking and machining applications. Built from micrograin solid carbide, it delivers the rigidity and edge retention needed in demanding cutting environments. The tool measures 0.0625 inches (1/16 inch) in mill diameter with a 3/16-inch length of cut, a 1/8-inch straight cylindrical shank, and a 1.5-inch overall length. A 30-degree helix angle and four flutes promote efficient chip evacuation and a smooth surface finish. The TiCN coating adds surface hardness and reduces friction, extending tool life in production environments. This end mill is installed by machinists and CNC operators working in job shops, tool rooms, and manufacturing facilities.
The SGS 39007 is suited for finish and semi-finish milling operations requiring tight tolerances at small diameters. The variable index design reduces harmonic chatter during cuts, making it effective for slotting, profiling, and peripheral milling. Primary workpiece material codes H, K, M, N, P, and S indicate suitability across cast iron, non-ferrous metals, stainless steel, steel, and heat-resistant superalloys. The regular-length designation and compact geometry make it a practical choice for small-feature work on vertical machining centers and manual milling machines alike.
Designed as an OEM-style solid carbide square end mill replacement for small-diameter milling operations across standard straight-shank tool holders and collet chucks accepting a 1/8-inch shank diameter.
Installation and tool changes should be performed by a qualified machinist with the machine spindle fully stopped and locked out per applicable machine safety procedures. Seat the straight cylindrical shank fully into a clean, properly sized collet or end mill holder before tightening to manufacturer specifications for the holder type. Inspect the cutting edges and coating for chips or wear before each use. Follow shop-standard feeds and speeds for the workpiece material and depth of cut to prevent tool breakage at this small diameter.
