The SGS 38502 is a 5-flute solid carbide square end mill engineered for demanding material removal in a wide range of workpiece materials. It carries an AlTiN coating and features a 37-degree helix angle with a variable index design that reduces harmonic vibration and improves surface finish. The 0.25-inch diameter pairs with a 0.375-inch length of cut and a 2.5-inch overall length, making it well-suited for slotting, profiling, and finishing passes in tight-tolerance applications. Built from micrograin carbide, this tool is installed by machinists and CNC operators working in job shop and production environments.

The 38502 is designed for use across a broad spectrum of workpiece materials, including high-temperature alloys, stainless steels, cast irons, carbon and alloy steels, and titanium alloys, corresponding to material codes H, K, M, P, and S.
