The SGS 38170 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for high-performance material removal in demanding machining environments. It features a 3/8-inch diameter, a 0.015-inch corner radius, and 4 flutes arranged in a right-hand helical configuration. The tool is coated with AlTiN (Ti-NAMITE-A designation), which provides thermal resistance and extended tool life when cutting ferrous and exotic alloy materials. At 2.5 inches overall length with a 1-inch length of cut, this single-end mill is sized for standard vertical and horizontal machining center work. A Weldon flat shank ensures secure seating in compatible end mill holders.

This end mill is suited for roughing and finishing operations across a broad range of workpiece materials including steel, stainless steel, cast iron, non-ferrous metals, superalloys, and titanium, as well as hard materials.
