The SGS 38163 is a solid carbide, single-end corner radius end mill designed for high-performance milling across a wide range of metallic workpiece materials. Measuring 0.25 inches in diameter with a 0.75-inch length of cut and a 2.5-inch overall length, this tool carries a 0.02-inch corner radius that reduces stress concentrations at the cutting edge and extends tool life in demanding applications. The AlTiN coating, marketed under SGS's Ti-NAMITE-A designation, provides thermal resistance and hardness at elevated cutting temperatures. Four helical flutes with a medium helix angle and variable index geometry support both roughing and finishing operations in a single tool.

This end mill is suited for CNC machining centers and manual mills running steel, stainless steel, cast iron, non-ferrous metals, superalloys, and titanium, as well as hard materials in secondary applications. The straight cylindrical shank mounts directly into standard end mill holders.
