The SGS 38026 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for precision milling of steel, stainless steel, cast iron, non-ferrous metals, and superalloys including titanium. It features a 1/4 inch cutting diameter, a 0.045 inch corner radius, and four helical flutes with a medium helix angle and variable index for reduced harmonics and improved surface finish. A TiN (titanium nitride) coating extends tool life and reduces friction during cutting. The single-end, right-hand cutting geometry suits both roughing and finishing operations in a single setup.
This end mill is suited for use in CNC machining centers and manual mills where tight tolerances and good edge quality are required on ferrous and non-ferrous workpieces. With a 3/4 inch length of cut and a 2.5 inch overall length, it fits standard end mill holders with a 1/4 inch bore. The corner radius geometry reduces stress concentration at the cutting edge and helps extend tool life in demanding materials, including hard materials classified under secondary workpiece material code H.

Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or tooling technician. Secure the shank fully in the end mill holder to the recommended gauge line depth before tightening. Confirm spindle direction matches the right-hand cutting geometry before operation. Inspect runout with a dial indicator after tooling changes to maintain dimensional accuracy and protect the cutting edge.
