The SGS 38020 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for precision milling across a wide range of materials including steel, stainless steel, cast iron, non-ferrous metals, and superalloys including titanium. It features a 1/4 inch mill diameter, a 0.015 inch corner radius, and 4 helical flutes with a medium 30-degree helix angle. The TiN coating improves surface hardness and wear resistance during both roughing and finishing operations. At 2.5 inches overall length with a 3/4 inch length of cut, this single-end tool is sized for tight workspaces and general-purpose CNC and manual milling setups.
This end mill is suited for use in machining centers and manual mills where consistent corner radii are required in ferrous and non-ferrous workpieces. Its micrograin carbide substrate supports cutting in hard secondary materials as well. The straight-cylindrical shank is sized at 1/4 inch to fit standard end mill holders. Right-hand cutting and right-hand flute direction make it compatible with conventional spindle setups found across production and job-shop environments.

Installation is performed by machinists and CNC operators using a standard end mill holder sized for 1/4 inch straight-cylindrical shanks. Ensure the spindle is fully stopped and locked before tool changes. Verify runout after seating the tool in the holder before beginning a cut. Follow machine manufacturer torque specifications for set screws or collet nuts.
