The SGS 37011 is a single-end roughing end mill designed for aggressive material removal in milling operations. Built from micrograin solid carbide with a TiN coating, this tool delivers the hardness and edge retention needed for production machining environments. It features a 1/4 inch diameter, 5 flutes, a variable index geometry, and a maximum helix angle of 37 degrees. The 1/2 inch length of cut and 2-1/2 inch overall length make it well suited for standard-depth slotting and peripheral roughing passes. Coolant-through capability supports chip evacuation and thermal control during high-feed cuts.

This end mill is intended for use in CNC machining centers and manual mills where roughing passes precede finishing operations. The variable index flute spacing reduces harmonic chatter, which is especially useful when working with tougher alloys or in setups with moderate workholding rigidity. The straight cylindrical shank with h6 tolerance fits standard collet chucks and end mill holders. It is a right-hand cut, right-hand flute tool and is not center cutting, so plunge entry is not recommended. Machinists, toolroom operators, and job shop technicians are the primary users.
