The SGS 36625 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for high-performance milling in demanding machining environments. With a 0.75 inch mill diameter, 1.625 inch length of cut, and 11 flutes, this tool delivers fine surface finishes and efficient chip evacuation in difficult-to-machine materials. The AlTiN coating provides thermal resistance and wear protection, extending tool life in high-speed dry or semi-dry cutting applications. A 35-degree helix angle promotes smooth cutting action and reduces chatter. The micrograin carbide substrate supports rigidity and edge retention across a broad range of workpiece materials.
The SGS 36625 is suited for milling hardened steels, stainless steels, cast iron, titanium, and high-temperature alloys — corresponding to primary workpiece material codes H, K, M, P, and S. The centercutting geometry allows plunge entry, and the right-hand cut with right-hand spiral flute configuration is standard for vertical and horizontal CNC machining centers. This is a regular-length tool appropriate for general-purpose pocketing, slotting, profiling, and finishing operations where a multi-flute carbide end mill is specified.
Compatible with workpiece materials classified under codes H, K, M, P, and S, including hardened steels, cast irons, stainless steels, titanium alloys, and high-temperature alloys. Fits standard 3/4 inch collets and end mill holders on CNC machining centers accepting a straight-cylindrical shank.
Installation is performed by a machinist or CNC setup technician. Always power down and lock out the spindle before changing tooling. Seat the shank fully into the tool holder and torque the collet nut to the tool holder manufacturer specification. Verify runout with a dial indicator before beginning a cut, as excessive runout accelerates edge wear on multi-flute tools.
