The SGS 36623 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for high-performance milling in demanding metal-cutting applications. It features a 0.5 inch cutting diameter, a 1.25 inch length of cut, and a 3 inch overall length with a 0.5 inch straight cylindrical shank. The 9-flute geometry paired with a 35-degree helix angle improves chip evacuation and surface finish at higher feed rates. An AlTiN coating provides thermal resistance and extended tool life when cutting ferrous and high-temperature alloy materials. This tool is centercutting, allowing plunge entry directly into the workpiece without a pre-drilled hole.

The SGS 36623 is suited for finish and semi-finish milling operations in aerospace, die and mold, and general machining environments. The primary workpiece material codes H, K, M, P, and S indicate compatibility with hardened steels, cast iron, stainless steel, general steel, and superalloys.
