The SGS 36599 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for precision material removal in steel, stainless steel, cast iron, superalloys, and titanium. It features a 1/4 inch mill diameter with a 0.010 inch corner radius that reduces edge chipping and improves surface finish at corners. The 4-flute, single-end design supports both roughing and finishing cuts. A variable helix and variable index geometry reduce harmonics and chatter during aggressive cuts. This end mill is suited for use by machinists and CNC operators working with ferrous metals, hard materials, and difficult-to-machine alloys in production and job-shop environments.
The SGS 36599 is intended for use with standard end mill toolholders accepting a 1/4 inch straight cylindrical shank. Its 3/4 inch length of cut and 2.5 inch overall length make it appropriate for shallow-to-moderate depth pocket milling, profiling, and contouring in tight setups. The ZPCR series is engineered for steel, stainless steel, cast iron, superalloys, titanium, and hard materials. Right-hand flute direction and right-hand cutting direction are standard. This end mill is a single-end tool and does not feature a chipbreaker or coolant-through capability.
Designed for use with end mill toolholders accepting a 1/4 inch straight cylindrical shank. Rated for primary workpiece materials including steel, stainless steel, cast iron, superalloys, and titanium, and secondary workpiece materials classified as hard materials.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC setup technician. Ensure the toolholder bore is clean and within tolerance before seating the shank; shank diameter tolerance is h6. Verify spindle direction matches the right-hand cutting direction of this tool before engaging the workpiece. Always confirm runout at the cutting edge after tool change to protect edge integrity and maintain dimensional accuracy.
