The SGS 36513 is a solid micrograin carbide corner radius end mill designed for high-performance material removal and finishing in demanding machining applications. It features a 3/8 inch diameter, a 5/8 inch length of cut, and a 0.0200 inch corner radius with a tolerance of -0.0020 to 0.0000 inches. The AlTiN coating provides thermal resistance and extended tool life in ferrous and hard-material cutting. With four flutes, variable helix, and variable index geometry, this tool is suited for both roughing and finishing operations. It is installed by machinists and CNC operators using standard end mill holders.
This end mill is built for cutting steel, stainless steel, cast iron, superalloys, titanium, and hard materials. It belongs to the SGS Z16C series and is configured as a single-end tool with a straight-cylindrical shank. The short flute length and 2 inch overall length make it well suited for standard vertical and horizontal milling setups where rigidity and chip evacuation are priorities. The right-hand cutting direction and helical flute geometry support consistent chip flow in high-feed operations on CNC machining centers.
Designed for use with standard end mill holders. Primary workpiece materials include steel, stainless steel, cast iron, superalloys, and titanium. Also rated for secondary use in hard materials.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC operator. Secure the shank fully in a clean, properly sized end mill holder and verify runout before cutting. Power down and lock out the spindle before changing tooling. Do not exceed the rated length of cut or use this tool for center-cutting operations, as it is not centercutting.
