The SGS 36373 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for high-performance metal removal in demanding machining applications. With a 1/4 inch mill diameter, 1/2 inch length of cut, and a 0.03 inch corner radius, this single-end tool is built for both roughing and finishing operations. The variable helix geometry reduces harmonic chatter and improves chip evacuation during aggressive cuts. A TiN coating enhances surface hardness and wear resistance, extending tool life across a broad range of workpiece materials. Machined from micrograin carbide stock, this end mill delivers consistent dimensional accuracy and edge integrity across production runs.
The SGS 36373 is suited for milling steel, stainless steel, cast iron, superalloys, and titanium, as well as hard secondary materials. It fits standard end mill toolholders with a straight cylindrical 1/4 inch shank and is appropriate for CNC machining centers and manual mills where a short-length, center-cutting geometry is required. The right-hand flute direction and right-hand cutting direction are standard for conventional and climb milling setups. This tool is used by machinists in aerospace, automotive, general fabrication, and tool-and-die shops.
Compatible with standard end mill toolholders. Rated for primary workpiece materials including steel, stainless steel, cast iron, superalloys, and titanium, with secondary capability in hard materials per SGS Series ZPCR material application designations P, M, K, S, and H.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist following the toolholder manufacturer torque specifications for set screws or collet nuts. Verify runout at the spindle before engaging the workpiece to protect the cutting edge and maintain dimensional tolerance. Confirm spindle direction is set to right-hand rotation before initiating a cut. Do not exceed the tool's rated depth of cut or axial engagement without consulting SGS feeds and speeds data for this series.
