The SGS 35725 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for high-performance material removal in non-ferrous metal applications. It features a 3/4 inch mill diameter, a 2-1/4 inch length of cut, and a 0.03 inch corner radius that reduces stress concentrations at the cutting edge. The tool carries a TiB2 (Ti-NAMITE-B) coating, which is well-suited for aluminum and other non-ferrous workpiece materials. With 3 helical flutes and a right-hand cutting direction, this end mill is built for roughing operations. Machinists and tool-and-die professionals working with non-ferrous metals will find this a direct-fit option for standard end mill holders.
This end mill targets roughing operations in non-ferrous metals such as aluminum alloys, brass, and copper. It runs as a single-end, straight-cylindrical shank tool at 3/4 inch shank diameter, compatible with standard end mill holders. The Series 43CR designation places it in SGS's high-helix, coarse-pitch lineup intended for aggressive chip evacuation in softer, gummy materials. At 5 inches overall length, it provides reach suited to moderate-depth cavity and profile milling on CNC machining centers and manual mills.
Designed for use with standard end mill holders accepting a 3/4 inch straight-cylindrical shank. Primary workpiece material is non-ferrous metal (Material Application Code: N). Part of the SGS Series 43CR high-helix corner radius end mill line.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist following shop safety procedures. Secure the tool in a properly sized end mill holder and torque the set screw or collet per the holder manufacturer specifications before use. Verify spindle direction is set to right-hand rotation before engaging the cut. Inspect the cutting edges and coating for damage before each use, particularly after roughing operations.
