The SGS 35699 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for high-efficiency material removal in non-ferrous metal applications. It features a 1/2 inch cutting diameter, a 1-1/4 inch length of cut, and a 0.015 inch corner radius that reduces stress concentration at the cutting edge and extends tool life in demanding roughing operations. The TiB2 (Ti-NAMITE-B) coating provides hardness and lubricity suited to aluminum, copper, brass, and similar non-ferrous workpiece materials. With 3 right-hand helical flutes and a coarse pitch geometry, this end mill promotes efficient chip evacuation during aggressive passes. It is a single-end, centercutting tool with a straight cylindrical 1/2 inch shank for use in standard end mill holders.
The SGS 35699 is intended for CNC machining centers and manual mills handling non-ferrous metals in job shop, production, and aerospace fabrication environments. The Series 43CR geometry and high helix style make it well suited for roughing passes in aluminum alloys and other soft non-ferrous materials where chip packing and heat buildup are primary concerns. The 3 inch overall length provides adequate reach for most standard fixturing setups without compromising rigidity. Licensed machinists and CNC programmers are the primary users of this tool class.
Designed for use with standard end mill holders. Primary workpiece material is non-ferrous metal (Material Application Code: N), including aluminum alloys, copper, and brass. Part of the SGS Series 43CR product family.
Installation and tool changes must be performed by a qualified machinist with the machine powered down and locked out per facility safety procedures. Verify shank runout and holder cleanliness before seating the tool to maintain diameter tolerance and surface finish. Coolant-through is not supported on this tool; external coolant or air blast is recommended to manage chip evacuation during roughing. Feed and speed parameters should follow the manufacturer published data for the specific workpiece material and machine rigidity.
