The SGS 35670 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for high-performance material removal in non-ferrous metal applications. It features a 1/4-inch mill diameter, a 3/4-inch length of cut, and a 0.06-inch corner radius that blends floor-to-wall transitions and reduces stress concentrations at part corners. The three-flute, right-hand helical geometry runs at a coarse pitch suited for roughing operations. A TiB2 (Ti-NAMITE-B) coating reduces friction and extends tool life in aluminum, copper, brass, and similar non-ferrous workpiece materials. Licensed machinists and CNC programmers working in job shops and production facilities are the primary users of this tool.
The SGS 35670 is intended for use in non-ferrous metal machining environments where a single-end, centercutting corner radius profile is required. With a 2.5-inch overall length and a 1/4-inch straight-cylindrical shank, it seats directly into standard end mill holders without adapters. The Series 43CR designation identifies it within the SGS corner radius line. Right-hand cutting direction and high helix style make it well-suited for finishing contoured surfaces and pocketing operations in aluminum and similar soft metals.
Designed for use with standard end mill holders accepting a 1/4-inch straight-cylindrical shank. Primary workpiece material compatibility is non-ferrous metal (material code N), including aluminum, brass, and copper alloys.
Installation is performed by CNC machinists or tool-and-die professionals using standard end mill holders and appropriate set-screw torque practices per machine tool manufacturer guidelines. Ensure the shank is fully seated and the holder is properly torqued before initiating cuts. Verify spindle speed and feed rate are programmed for non-ferrous material and the selected tool diameter before engaging the cut. Do not use this tool on ferrous materials, as it is rated for non-ferrous applications only.
