The SGS 35619 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for material removal in non-ferrous metal applications. It features a 0.5-inch mill diameter, a 2.625-inch length of cut, and a 0.06-inch corner radius that reduces stress concentrations at the bottom of a cut and improves surface finish on slotting and profiling passes. The 3-flute, right-hand helical geometry with a high helix angle promotes efficient chip evacuation, making it well suited for aluminum, copper, brass, and similar non-ferrous workpiece materials. Overall length is 4 inches with a straight cylindrical 0.5-inch shank. This is a single-end, uncoated tool produced in the SGS Series 43CR long-length configuration.
The 35619 is intended for use in CNC machining centers and manual mills where long-reach access is required or deep pockets demand a longer length of cut. Its coarse pitch geometry and high helix angle are optimized for roughing passes in non-ferrous metals. The uncoated bright finish is appropriate for applications where cutting fluid or coolant is applied externally, and where coating buildup on the flutes would be counterproductive. The tool is held in standard end mill holders compatible with a 0.5-inch straight-cylindrical shank.
Designed for use with standard end mill holders accepting a 0.5-inch straight-cylindrical shank. Primary workpiece material is non-ferrous metal. Suitable for CNC and manual milling operations where a long-length corner radius end mill is specified.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or tooling technician. Secure the shank fully into an end mill holder to the recommended gauge line before tightening; insufficient engagement reduces rigidity and increases the risk of tool pullout under load. Ensure the spindle is at a complete stop and the machine is in a safe state before loading or unloading the tool. Verify runout with a dial indicator after installation, as excessive runout accelerates corner radius wear and degrades dimensional accuracy on the finished part.
