The SGS 35307 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for precision milling operations in non-ferrous metals and similar materials. It features a 9/32-inch (0.2813-inch) cutting diameter, a 3/4-inch length of cut, and a 5/16-inch straight cylindrical shank. The TiCN coating improves surface hardness and wear resistance compared to uncoated carbide tools. With two spiral flutes and a 30-degree helix angle, this end mill evacuates chips efficiently and maintains consistent cutting performance. It is a centercutting design, allowing plunge entry directly into the workpiece. Machinists and tool-and-die professionals use this tool in CNC machining centers and manual mills.
The SGS 35307 is suited for slotting, profiling, and pocket milling in non-ferrous metals such as aluminum, brass, copper, and similar materials. The Series 52 designation places it within SGS's standard-length, two-flute carbide end mill lineup. The regular-length geometry and 2-1/2-inch overall length make it a practical choice for general-purpose work where extended reach is not required. Right-hand cut and right-hand flute orientation are standard for conventional CNC and manual milling setups.
Designed for use in CNC machining centers, knee mills, and manual milling machines with standard ER or straight-bore end mill holders accepting a 5/16-inch shank. Primary workpiece material is non-ferrous metal (material code N).
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and the machine is powered down before loading or removing the tool. Secure the shank with a properly sized collet or end mill holder and verify runout is within acceptable tolerance before cutting. Follow applicable shop safety standards and machine manufacturer guidelines for tool overhang and feed-rate selection.
