The SGS 35302 is a square end mill engineered for precise milling operations in non-ferrous metal applications. Built from solid carbide with a titanium carbonitride (TiCN) finish, this tool delivers hardness and wear resistance suited to high-speed cutting in aluminum, brass, copper, and similar materials. The 2-flute spiral design promotes efficient chip evacuation in softer, gummier materials where flute count matters. At 0.125 inches in diameter with a 0.4375-inch length of cut and 1.5-inch overall length, this is a compact tool intended for slot milling, profiling, and finish passes in tight geometries. Centercutting capability allows direct plunge entry without a pre-drilled pilot hole.
This end mill is designed for use in CNC machining centers and manual mills where fine detail work on non-ferrous metals is required. The straight cylindrical shank at 0.125 inches fits standard collet chucks and end mill holders. The right-hand cut with right-hand flute spiral is the conventional configuration compatible with standard spindle rotation. Its regular-length classification makes it a general-purpose choice for production and job-shop environments where rigidity and repeatability are priorities.
Designed as a general-purpose replacement or standard tooling selection for 1/8-inch collet and end mill holder setups used in non-ferrous metal milling. Suitable for aluminum, brass, copper, and similar N-class workpiece materials per the SGS Series 52 designation.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC operator. Ensure the spindle is fully stopped and locked before inserting or removing the tool from the collet or holder. Confirm collet bore size matches the 0.125-inch shank diameter before tightening to prevent runout. Set appropriate feed rates and spindle speeds for the specific non-ferrous material being cut; consult SGS Series 52 cutting data for recommended parameters.
