The SGS 35121 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for high-performance finishing operations in demanding metalworking applications. It features a 3/4 inch mill diameter, a 1-5/8 inch length of cut, and a 0.03 inch corner radius that reduces edge stress and extends tool life at corners. Built from micrograin solid carbide and finished with a TX coating, this single-end, right-hand cutting tool is engineered for consistent material removal in steel, stainless steel, cast iron, superalloys, and titanium. It belongs to the SGS Series 51CR T-Carb lineup and is intended for use with standard end mill toolholders.
This end mill is suited for finishing passes on ferrous and difficult-to-machine materials in both production and job-shop environments. With a close pitch, variable index, and high helix style, it is optimized to reduce chatter and improve surface finish quality. A 4 inch overall length and 3/4 inch straight-cylindrical shank make it compatible with common end mill toolholders found on CNC machining centers and manual mills. It is appropriate for machinists, tool and die professionals, and production operators working in aerospace, mold and die, and general metalworking.
Designed for use with end mill toolholders. Primary workpiece materials include steel, stainless steel, cast iron, superalloys, and titanium. Secondary workpiece material compatibility includes hard materials. Part of the SGS Series 51CR T-Carb product line.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC setup technician. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and the toolholder is clean and free of debris before seating the shank. Use an appropriate end mill toolholder rated for the shank diameter and confirm runout with a dial indicator before production cuts. Follow the machine tool manufacturer torque specifications for toolholder retention and consult SGS cutting data recommendations for feed and speed parameters.
