Product Description

The SGS 35116 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for high-performance finishing operations in demanding metalworking applications. It features a 1/2 inch cutting diameter, a 1-1/4 inch length of cut, and a 0.09 inch corner radius that reduces stress concentrations at the tool tip and extends part life in interrupted or contoured cuts. With 6 flutes and a high-helix spiral geometry, the 35116 is built for smooth, precise finishes in tough materials. A TiN-based TX coating increases surface hardness and wear resistance. Overall length is 3 inches with a 1/2 inch straight cylindrical shank machined to h6 tolerance.

This end mill is intended for finishing passes in steel, stainless steel, cast iron, superalloys, and titanium, as well as hard secondary workpiece materials. It fits standard end mill toolholders and is suited for CNC machining centers handling close-tolerance contour and pocket work. The close pitch and right-hand cutting direction make it appropriate for conventional and climb milling in production and job shop environments. Single-end configuration with variable index and no chipbreaker.
